Reconstitution Supplies

Keep clean supplies on hand.

Most injectable guides use bacteriostatic water, insulin syringes, and alcohol swabs. Restock before mixing so the dose math and handling steps are easier to follow.

KPV 10mg User Guide

This guide is for KPV 10mg. It covers reconstitution, dosing, subQ injection basics, the oral option some people use for gut-focused routines, side effects, and storage.

You can find this product here: KPV.

ABOUT THIS PEPTIDE

KPV is a very small peptide, only three amino acids long. It comes from the tail end of alpha-MSH, a hormone the body uses partly to calm inflammation. People usually look into KPV as an “inflammation calmer,” with most interest around gut irritation, skin flare-ups, and general recovery.

You may see KPV mentioned alongside Melanotan because both come from the alpha-MSH family. KPV is not a tanning peptide and is not known for tanning, appetite, or libido effects.

Community reports usually describe a gradual effect, not something you feel after one dose. Gut-focused users often talk about less bloating or a calmer stomach over the first few weeks. Others notice no clear change. KPV is very often paired with BPC-157 for gut-focused routines, and it is one of the four peptides in the KLOW Stack.

The evidence gap matters. The research behind KPV comes from cell studies and animal models, mostly mice with colitis. There are no human clinical trials, and the FDA has said it found no human exposure data for KPV by any route. Treat the doses below as common community practice, not proven dosing.

Tested athletes should treat KPV as prohibited under the World Anti-Doping Agency’s unapproved-substances category.

Quick notes:

  • Best known for: gut, skin, and inflammation-focused discussions.
  • Evidence level: promising cell and animal research, no human trials.
  • Community theme: 200-500mcg once daily for a 4-8 week block.
  • Main watch-out: using it to self-treat gut symptoms that need a diagnosis.

SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED

RECONSTITUTION (MIXING)

Each vial contains 10mg of KPV. Add 2mL of bacteriostatic water.

  1. Draw up 200 units of bacteriostatic water in total.
  2. Add it slowly down the inside wall of the vial.
  3. Swirl gently until dissolved. Do not shake.

With this mix, 1 unit = 0.05mg, or 50mcg, of KPV.

Units on syringeKPV dose
4 units200mcg
5 units250mcg
8 units400mcg

This is the same mix as the BPC-157 10mg guide, so the unit math matches if you use both.

DOSING SCHEDULE

Simple starting protocol

  • First week: 4 units (200mcg) once daily.
  • If tolerated: move up to 8-10 units (400-500mcg) once daily.
  • Run for 4-8 weeks, then stop and reassess.

Any consistent time of day is fine. There is no human trial showing that one time of day or a split dose works better.

One vial covers roughly the first 3-4 weeks of this protocol, so a full 8-week block usually takes three vials.

Gut-focused oral option

KPV’s gut research used oral dosing, so some gut-focused users swallow the mixed solution instead of injecting.

  • Draw the dose as normal, then empty the syringe into a small sip of water and drink it. The needle never goes in your mouth.
  • Take it on an empty stomach, such as first thing in the morning.
  • Community oral amounts usually run higher than injected amounts, often 10 units (500mcg) once or twice daily.

Oral use empties the vial much faster. At 10 units twice daily, one vial lasts about 10 days. There is no human data showing that oral works better or worse than subQ.

Pairing with BPC-157

KPV plus BPC-157 is the most common gut-focused pairing in community discussions. Keep them in separate vials and draw each one with a clean syringe.

If you already use KLOW, you are already getting some KPV. Ten units of KLOW gives about 333mcg of KPV, so count that before adding standalone KPV.

HOW TO INJECT

Watch this quick video for the basic subQ process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9NGueNM03I

  1. Wipe the vial top with an alcohol swab.
  2. Draw the dose.
  3. Pinch a small area of belly or thigh fat and inject slowly.
  4. Rotate sites.

SIDE EFFECTS AND CAUTIONS

KPV is usually described as well tolerated, but there is very little formal human safety data.

Possible effects include injection-site redness, itching, or sting, mild headache, fatigue, and mild stomach upset, especially with oral use.

Use medical guidance with Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, or another diagnosed gut condition, immunosuppressive or biologic medication, an active infection, autoimmune disease, active cancer, or pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not stop or replace prescribed treatment with KPV.

Get medical care for blood in the stool, black or tarry stool, severe or worsening abdominal pain, fever, ongoing vomiting or diarrhea, unexplained weight loss, trouble breathing, or facial swelling.

STORAGE

Keep the mixed vial refrigerated, cold, dry, and dark. Write the mixing date on the vial. Aim to use it within 4 weeks and do not stretch it past 6 weeks. Discard it if the liquid becomes cloudy, changes color, develops particles, or looks contaminated.

Before mixing, keep the powder in the fridge or freezer, away from heat and light.

Use these support guides for water amount mistakes, vial capacity, bubbles, storage timing, missed doses, and travel handling.

Safe Sharps Disposal

Put the whole used needle and syringe directly into an FDA-cleared sharps disposal container after use. Do not bend, break, recap, remove, or toss loose sharps into household trash or recycling. Follow your local rules for drop-off, mail-back, or full-container disposal.
